4th Quarter Experiences

Image
This year overall has been a wonderful learning experience despite the pandemic. For the last quarter, I learned how to use the MS FrontPage and it's different parts. I also learned how to create a website and many more. I feel grateful and happy that I passed all the challenges for this school year.          For the 4th quarter, I am struggling with keeping on top of all my work. I had a hard time managing my time and I'm always distracted. I always procrastinate too. It may appear that accomplishing these things is simple, but I believe that I have not only overcome these obstacles, but also used them to grow as a person. Overcoming these challenges makes them meaningful. I had a lot of discoveries not only about academics but also to myself. The exploration of these discoveries resulted in a memorable experiences.          Moving on, I will continue learning and I will do my best despite of different ...

Make the World a Better Place

World Environment Day was designated by the United Nations on June 5th. It's a day dedicated to nature and the preservation of our world for future generations. The day raises awareness about the need of caring for nature, protecting the foods we eat, breathing clean air, and keeping water bodies clean. Forests, farmlands, towns, wetlands, and oceans are all examples of ecosystems that can be restored. Governments and development organizations, as well as corporations, communities, and people, can all undertake restoration programs.           We can restore the environment in a variety of ways, such as actively planting or eliminating stressors so that nature can heal on its own. Returning an ecosystem to its original state is not always possible – or desirable. On land that was previously forest, for example, we still need farms and infrastructure, and ecosystems, like society, must adapt to a changing climate. We c...

Philippine Independence Day

Image
Philippine Independence Day is one of the most important celebrations in the country since the Pearl of the Orient Seas has been freed after more than 300 years of Spanish oppression. Since 1962, the 12th of June has been observed as Philippine Independence Day. The ceremony was originally scheduled for July 4, but President Diosdado Macapagal moved it to June 12 to honor Emilio Aguinaldo's declaration of independence from the Spaniards. This day is more than just a holiday; it is a day on which Filipinos commemorate the bravery and sacrifices of warriors and heroes who battled for our homeland.  On this day, we also honor the sacrifices made by front-line workers and critical workers to assist our country in times of need.           The Philippine Independence Day is celebrated from May 28 to June 12, and all government buildings, houses, and public spaces are encouraged to fly the country's flag. The country starts the c...

Superwomen

Our mothers provide us with a sense of security by rescuing us from any issues. She seems unconcerned about her personal difficulties and is always listening to us. The second Sunday of May month has been designed as Mother's Day to honor her. This is a significant event for us and our mothers. On Mother's Day, we should make our mothers happy rather than sad. We must constantly obey her and perform our duties properly. She is continually striving to make us better people in life.           Mothers’ contribution to society is unmatchable. Motherhood is the greatest gift of God to humanity. Every mother goes to great lengths to ensure the happiness and contentment of her family and children. There is no one who can match a mother's strength, love, and sacrifice. The least we can do to honor her is to celebrate her virtues through the events of a day.           Every youngster wishes to honor their mother...

Binatbatan Festival 2021 Celebration

Image
According to Damaso King, a well-known Vigan historian, the Viva Vigan Binatbatan Festival of the Arts, which runs from the last week of April to the first week of May, was originally the Feast of the Natives, which began on May 3, 1883. Former Mayor Eva S. Medina maintained the group's work to promote Vigan in 1995, giving birth to the Viva Vigan Festival of the Arts. Binatbatan Festival, however, was established in 2002 to honor one of the enterprises that kept inhabitants alive: abel Iloco hand-loom weaving.                       Binatbatan is the method of removing the seeds from cotton pods by beating them. The event was commemorated publicly on the municipal government's official Facebook Page, with various city employees and media representatives in attendance, all of whom followed the covid-19 fundamental health rules. Followed by a Misa Concelebrada at Simbaan a Bassit. Because...

Equality and Unity

Women's empowerment refers to giving women the power to make decisions for themselves. Women have endured a great deal at the hands of men over the years. They were viewed like they didn't exist in previous centuries. As if all rights, including the right to vote, belonged to men. Women became more aware of their power as time passed and the revolution for women's empowerment started there.                      Women's empowerment came as a breath of fresh air because they were not able to make choices for themselves. It made them aware of their rights and how to make their own path in society rather than relying on a man. It acknowledged that things do not always work in someone's favor solely because of their gender. There are different ways to empower women. Individuals and the government must work together to achieve this. Girls' education should be made compulsory so that they do not be...

3rd Quarter Experiences

Image
During the third quarter, I learned several things related to my own place because we are tasked to do a community-based research. I also learned how to create a Sitemap for my project. There are different challenges or distractions I faced while studying. But I thought myself that challenge is part of everyday life, without them, life will be meaningless.           Because of our task, I learned that community-based research is necessary to remove the various social, cultural, and logistical barriers that confound the well-intentioned efforts of many public health programs. I learned some important information that I barely knew about my place even if it's my hometown. I also learned a lot of new things this quarter aside from the community-based research, like the several things related to the process of learning. For example, intellectual abilities and artistic abilities go hand-in-hand. This quarter was quite d...
